Outreach Event Highlighting Weatherization Resources Available to Chester County Residents

Free Weatherization Services: finallogoonlyforwebsite.jpg

The Housing Development Corporation's (HDC) weatherization professionals will hold a session in Coatesville with information about how you can help your clients, contituents, tenants and congregants find FREE services to weatherize their homes.

Since 1976, HDC has provided free services to more than 10,000 households in Chester, Lancaster and Lebanon counties that otherwise could not afford to insulate or protect their homes or apartments from winter weather. Between now and March 30, 2010, when stimulus funding expires, HDC plans to weatherize 1,435 homes, including neighborhoods in Coatesville.

Did You Know?

National Studies show that weatherization using insulation and air sealing can cut total household energy consumption as much as 30 percent.
