	Workforce Developments March 2009

Notice of Request for Proposals (RFP's)

The Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) has made available RFP packages for 2009 Youth Program funding to support employment and training activities for eligible youth.

DCD is the Agency designated by the Chester County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and the Board of Chester County Commissioners to provide staff support to the WIB and serve as the administrative entity and fiscal agent for the operation of Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Programs and other workforce initiatives in Chester County.

Under direction of the WIB and Chester County Council for the Workforce of Tomorrow, the DCD has developed separate proposal packages for organizations wishing to be considered as a subcontractor for providing Youth Employment and Training Services to disadvantaged youth in Chester County during Program Year 2009.

Three separate Youth Program RFP packages are available now!

Interested parties can download applications from the WIB website. Agencies may also request an RFP via email: ccwib@chesco.org.

2009 Youth RFP's are available for:

WIA Title I Youth Service Providers for the TEAM @ The HOOD Youth Center;
TANF Youth Development Services, and;
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) - Summer Youth Employment Program

Completed proposals are due by 3:00 PM on May 4, 2009.

The Chester County Council for the Workforce of Tomorrow oversees the utilization of Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding for youth and services.
