The Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD)is seeking applications for programs that will be funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development's (DCED) 2010 Community Services Block Grant Program.

CSBG funding:

• will be used to support holistic approaches that move individuals and families towards self-sufficiency;
• assists individuals and families with incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, upon intake.

Eligible activities include homeless assistance, homelessness prevention, and other community services to be carrierd out during the 2010 calendar year of January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010.

Applications are due by 4:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2009 at the Department of Community Development.

DCD will host an application workshop designed to assist those who have not completed a community services application before or who wish to discuss their activity concept with DCD staff.
