Opportunity to Utilize Paid Workers!

The Chester County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) is seeking local businesses to serve as worksites for a subsidized employment program this summer.  WIB_for_web.gif

Businesses have the opportunity to let aspiring youth and adults gain valuable work readiness skills while the County of Chester pays their wages.

  • Is your business in need of extra summer help but budgets are tight?
  • Can your business provide supervised, safe and meaningful work opportunities?
If you answered yes to these questions we'd like to hear from you!

Email ccwib@chesco.org and let us know how many youth or adult employees you'd offer to hire this summer and what type of job they would fill for your organization.

We're looking to identify summer worksites in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

Pennsylvania's "Way to Work" subsidized employment program will operate from June 1 to September 30, 2010, with no obligation to keep employees beyond that time.

Summer work experiences will improve the career outlook for participants while businesses profit from added productivity at no cost.

This year, adults will also be eligible to take part in paid work experiences.
