Greetings, Undrivers!

dogwalkHow is climate change like walking the dog?  In one minute this little video 'splains it all to you, brilliantly!

As Undrivers we know about all the great reasons to Undrive - but climate change remains the one that gets me up in the morning to work on reducing car use some more.

As a licensed Undriver, you're equipped to be an ambassador for Undriving: your license gives you the perfect tool to start conversations with others about how they might Undrive more. As one person said in our very first survey, "I feel like you gave us permission to raise the issue with others." Yes!

LicenseBackpackWant to get started? Just put your license on your backpack. You're bound to hear "What's that?" from someone nearby, on the bus or in an elevator.

Thanks for Undriving, and for sharing the love -

Legislative Updates on Bike/Walk/Transit

WA State Undrivers:  Speak up for safer streets! The Neighborhood Safe Speeds Bill (HB 1217) sailed through the House unopposed, and now it just needs to make it to the Senate floor.  It'll empower cities and towns to set speed limits to 20 miles per hour on non-arterial streets without a costly engineering and traffic study. It does not mandate any change, it simply provides cities and towns the local control to do so. Email your Senator now!

Federal Funding for Biking and Walking is at risk:  Last month, US House Republicans floated a bill that would have cut federal funding for transit, walking, biking, and safe routes to school.  That version got shot down, thanks to activism from folks like you, but there'll be more action ahead.  Join us on Facebook and Twitter to get the scoop on action alerts as they come up. Read more here about the "Drill and Drive" mindset we are up against.

Ride transit, find love:

It's hard to meet someone while driving a car, but whether you want to or not, you meet people on transit - and sometimes it leads to love.  Another reason to Undrive? Check out these links:
