A time for giving?
The Library's fall appeal needs you

Please be on the lookout for the Library’s fall appeal letter in your postal mailbox. And then look inside for lots of reasons to support the American Library in Paris with a donation. We’re counting on you for this essential gift.
We think it’s important for every member, and anyone who has enjoyed an Evening with an Author or a movie night or a Saturday open house, to pitch in with a gift to sustain this living institution. You may read the Fall Appeal letter now or make a donation on line. Thank you in advance for your support.
Are you a global cosmopolitan?
Find out more tomorrow night from Linda Brimm, clinical psychologist and professor emeritus at INSEAD. She will explore issues of personal identity that lie beneath the web of languages spoken, countries visited and passports obtained.
Art on View: City-Space-Theatre
Tuesday 15 November - Sunday 11 December
Explore the work of artist Claire Laporte which converts the city into a theatre, supporting her quest to capture beauty in daily life and to create a poetic vision of these urban spaces. This exhibition features paintings set in the 7ème arrondissement. Learn more.
Students in our midst
Institutional Members partner with the Library
The American Library in Paris works in partnership with more than twelve universities, semester-abroad programs and international schools (primaire, collège, lycée) in and around Paris offering discounted or subsidized memberships for students, staff and faculty.
Reference librarian Kim Lê Minh, who provides an overview of our services and resources, has been busy meeting with groups from Trinity College, Ecole Parsons à Paris, University of Southern California, Paris School of Business, ISIT - Institut de management et de communication interculturels, American University - Washington D.C., and Franklin & Marshall College either at the Library or at their premises. The Library welcomes students, faculty and staff from these institutions and thanks our other Institutional Membership (IM) partners who have identified the American Library in Paris as a vital resource.
