Bendigo – A Future leader in the Post-Fossil Fuel World
The third Downtown Lecture for 2009, delivered by Ms Karen Corr, President of the Bendigo Sustainability Group, and Mr Ian McBurney, Vice-President of the Bendigo Sustainability Group.
This topical lecture will examine Bendigo’s potential role in a post-fossil fuel world; a future Bendigo that is based on sustainable living, sustainable transport, and sustainable energy systems.

Southern University Games
La Trobe University achieved some fantastic team results in this years Southern University Games which were recently held in Melbourne. Universities from Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania gathered to compete in ten sports with La Trobe University finishing 4th overall. Read more

Derek Flood, a 10 year veteran of the La Trobe University Fencing Club, recently won the Silver Medal in the Fencing Victoria Veteran Foil Championship. Derek is currently the Fencing Club's Armourer and one of its coaches. Read more

LTUAC is one of the centres that carry on the traditions and teachings laid out by the founder of Aikido, Ueshiba Morihei. Aiki Kai gradings are internationally recognised throughout the Aiki Kai organisation worldwide.
