Professional Fan Charlie Vascellaro will present a talk on his annual travels through the Cactus League and how he has been able to parlay his enthusiasm for the spring training season into working as a professional fan. During his research for the story he began collecting ballpark artifacts which have in turn found their way into museum exhibits and other people's academic presentations.  

Vascellaro is a freelance journalist who writes frequently on baseball and travel.  He is a regular contributor to the San Francisco Giants and other Cactus League teams' spring training programs, as well as other Arizona tourism and travel periodicals.
