Action Center & Breaking News

D20 Protest - TODAY, Dec 5th!

Who What When Where Why

-D20 is treating their transgendered students extremely unfairly by not
calling them by their chosen name or genders, not letting them use their
bathrooms of choice, and basically disrespecting their identity.

This is a peaceful protest.
It will be December 5th, from 3:00 to 4:30.
It's at the Chapel Hills Mall, across the road from Aspen Valley High
School.

You need to stay on the side of the street with all the protesters. If you
go onto school property, they can and WILL call the police. Wear your pride gear; bring flags, signs, and banners.
It will be partly cloudy with a ten percent chance of rain, but the high is only fifty, so please dress warmly!! Everyone is welcome.

Please come; we could really use the support! ♥

For More info contact: Blake (719) 291-9512 -or- Brittany (817) 235-4654

December 10th - Day Without A Gay!

Take the day! Show Your Pride! Food items can be brought to the Pride Center
at 2508 E. Bijou Street, or dropped off during the demonstration.

Kaiser Permanente Colorado Diversity Scholarship Program

tho have an impact on the shortage of health care & public health
professionals and under-representation of various diverse populations within
the health care /public health professions, including non-clinical, health
care professions. All qualified students are encouraged to apply.

Click here for more information and for the application:

News From Your Pride Center

NetCoRe Mixer! - December 18th
At the Attic!

Ready to be on the Big Screen?

The Pride Center has been contacted by an independent film producer who is
interested in filming a lesbian romantic comedy here in Colorado Springs.
She is looking for a few things in hopes of turning this into a
community-based and supported film:
1. An LGBT bar to host some scenes in the movie.
2. An apartment or house to shoot some scenes.
3. People who might be interested in being extras in the film.

If you or someone you know might be interested, please contact Adrianne at
661-865-3830.
