Dartmouth Bound
Each year, Dartmouth's admissions office selects a distinguished group of college-bound rising seniors from across the nation to participate in the Dartmouth Bound programs, and the recently announced 2009 sessions are as follows: Dartmouth Bound: Great Issues (July 23-25), Dartmouth Bound: Global Health & Society (August 6-8), and Dartmouth Bound: Native American Community (October 4-7). Each session is designed to provide opportunities for students to visit Dartmouth's campus, gain exposure to academic life and opportunities in an Ivy League setting, and learn about the admissions and financial aid process. Program participants will receive complimentary transportation to campus and overnight accommodations in Dartmouth residence halls. Many participants will be first generation in their families to attend college or come from populations that have historically been under-represented in higher education, but students from all backgrounds with a demonstrated interest in these themes and topics may apply to the programs. Applications to the July and August sessions are due June 1; applications to the October session are due August 24. For more information and to download the application, visit http://www.dartmouth.edu/apply/bound.

The Enrichment Scholarships
The Enrichment Scholarships are offered to qualified students who are members of traditionally underrepresented groups. Elmhurst College does not limit this designation to racial or ethnic minorities, as scholarships can, depending upon circumstances, be given to international students or students who have overcome significant barriers to enroll at Elmhurst. The award is valued at $7,000 and recipients must be enrolled on a full-time, degree-seeking basis. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, given the recipient maintains full-time enrollment and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Applicants must complete the admission application by May 1 to be considered for an Enrichment Scholarship.
