The Office for Diversity and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS)
The Office for Diversity and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS) has a threefold mission to increase the numbers of Hispanic, African-American, Native American, and New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund students majoring in the sciences. ODASIS does this by providing a supportive environment; improving retention rates; enhancing students' levels of academic achievement; and increasing students' entry rates into graduate or professional schools, or in their chosen fields in the workforce.
Since 1997, 165 ODASIS students from underrepresented groups have received their M.D.'s and 244 have become chiropractors, dentists, physician's assistants, podiatrists, doctors of osteopathy, nurses, or are pursuing other health-allied professions.
