You may recall that there was a possibility that there would be no Winter Feast this year. After reading your comments and gratitude emails to the teachers, it is clear that we made the right decision to go ahead with barely six weeks to prepare.

Here are just a couple of quotes from your emails regarding your experience with this year’s Winter Feast and your experience of Going Deeper with the meditation offerings.

“I just wanted to tell you how valuable I am finding the whole Winter Feast experience. This is my 3rd year and in the last 3 years, Winter Feast has helped me through a major family crisis, helped me re-establish a regular meditation habit after a break of 8 years and helped me to be a better, happier, calmer, more grounded person.

This year’s Going Deeper series has been especially transformational. I am noticing changes in myself each day. Repeating each meditation for 3 extra days has allowed me to find extra meaning in each meditation and to give myself the space and time to more fully explore each step in the process.

I hope you keep this format for future series. I have recommended Winter Feast to many people.” -CG

“You have once again made a wonderful contribution to us all. The new format provides so many gifts that can be used year-round.... not just during the Feast. As a person with a "busy mind," I find the teachings so helpful in quieting the outside noise so that stillness can edge its way in. I hope to continue to learn more.” -BP

To those of you who expressed your gratitude to us by making a donation, we are most grateful to you.

If you have not had a chance to make a donation yet, please think about doing that now if the Spirit moves you. These meditations are available to everyone who has access to the internet through out the year. This is a service to the world that we offer as an expression of our mission. There is a cost to keeping that library available in this way.

Your contribution will assure that we are able to continue to make this possible and it will allow us to continue our work to prepare for the 2017 tenth Feast for the Soul.

I will be completing the mailing of your emails to our teachers this week. If you have not had a chance to write your email with gratitude, please do that now. Be sure to place the name of the teacher in CAPS in the SUBJECT LINE of your email. Use this address for your emails:

40 is the number of transformation. We know that many of the major teachers and prophets spent forty days in meditation or retreat when it was time to make a huge transformation in their journey. But the most important part of this meaning is that when they completed their 40-day journey not only were they transformed but the consciousness of mankind was also transformed by their work.

Michael Beckwith describes our journey beautifully:

“I attune my energies with my intention to drop habits that distract me from my spiritual practice. I declare that I am prepared in consciousness to shape shift, to transform, and to purify my motives and reduce them to one: self-realization. The universe supports me in my aspiration, and I express my gratitude by remaining true to my intention.”

May that be so for all of us throughout the year ahead.

Closing out this year I would like to thank you for your participation in the 9th Winter Feast for the Soul. And I would also like to thank the many people who made this year’s Feast possible:

Robb Wiselman: who worked to keep the meditations on line and available on schedule

Cara Ward: our webmaster and newsletter transit person

Carol Studenka and Kaye Vivian who managed our Facebook Group and kept your conversations going there. They now have 1,661 members in that group. Bravo!!

And thank you to all of you who “held aloft the lamp” that kept the Feast alive in your local communities. We did not reach out to you this year because of a lack of time and resources. But we have not forgotten you and the work that you did to spread the word about the Feast.
