Doug.jpgProfessor, author, and international expert in community-based social marketing, Dr. DOUG MCKENZIE-MOHR will speak at the University of Hawaii about engaging communities in effective environmental programs, and lead a one-day training workshop.

People know that to protect the environment, we should recycle, use less water, minimize the fuel we consume and conserve in general to reduce our ecological footprint. But actions are not always consistent with what we know is the right thing to do. Dr. McKenzie-Mohr’s presentation and workshop discusses a new approach – community-based social marketing for delivering programs to change people’s behavior as it affects our environment. The workshop features interactive sessions with frequent opportunities for discussion. The FREE presentation provides a broad overview of community-based social marketing.
