The Volunteer Impact Program (VIP) will launch its third year in mid-February 2012 working with organizations that address homelessness, hunger, early learning, and employment.
Consultants will work in pairs with agency staff to conduct an assessment, identify key issues, and develop a plan for using volunteers more effectively. Expect to spend 10 -15 hours a month on the project. Meetings can be scheduled at mutually convenient times, but you will need to be available during some business hours. VIP consultants need to have planning and facilitation skills and the ability to create a detailed and professional-quality written plan. A background in human resources is excellent preparation for this project since many HR principles and processes apply to volunteer management.
