Kissing Is Good for Your Health: A Healthy Activity You're Going to LOVE! Everyone enjoys a loving kiss with that "special someone." But did you know that kissing can be good for your health? Here's how...
1. Dental Health--Kissing can help wash bacteria off your teeth and break down plaque, says Matthew Messina, a dentist in Fairview Park, Ohio.
2. Fitness--The most passionate kisses can burn up to 2 calories a minute--twice your metabolic rate, from Dr. Bryant Stamford, PhD
3. Emotional Health--Dr. Joy Davidosn, psychologist in Seattle, says that kissing can quell anxiety and "stop the buzz in your mind. ... It actually produces a lot of the physiological changes that meditation produces."
4. Immune System Health--Dr. Helen Fisher, professor of anthropology at Rutgers University thinks that kissing must be good for the immune system. "If you're sharing your germs with somebody, you're adding to your internal defense system!"
5. Relationships Health--Kissing is good for your relationships. Dr. Fisher adds that it can produce a strong bond between partners.
Finally! Something you like that's actually good for you! :-) So skip the chocolates this Valentine's Day, and instead grab your sweetheart...and PUCKER UP!
