Happy New Year! We are grateful to everyone who donated to North Cascades Institute in our year-end campaign and helped us to conclude our 30th year on a very positive note. Together, we are connecting the next generation to nature, inspiring and empowering future conservation leaders and creating ripple effects that impact families, schools, communities and our whole region. Your generosity makes this possible. Thank you!

We just wrapped up the 2017 Residential Environmental Learning Center Conference at our campus on Diablo Lake and had an amazing time hosting 100 environmental education professionals from Yellowstone, the Great Smokeys, Sierra Nevada, Acadia, the Grand Tetons, Mt. Rainier & beyond. This biannual Association of Nature Center Administrators gathering provides a great opportunity for organizations doing the important work of getting people outdoors learning about and developing relationships with nature to share ideas that will increase the overall impact of our work.

We have 5 job openings listed on our Employment page, including positions at the Environmental Learning Center and our office in Sedro-Woolley!

Next month we will open for registration 2017 Base Camps, Skagit Tours, another wave of classes and next summer’s Youth Leadership Adventures. Like us on Facebook to get all the latest news from North Cascades Institute.
