Top Ten Things to do in the North Cascades
1607_ross-lake-camping

Happy July! With Summer Solstice having recently passed, we are officially in summertime and it's time to make plans to visit your "Wild Nearby!" We're offering over 250 different programs this year to get people of all ages outside exploring, learning about and connecting with the North Cascades. From our Base Camp “learning and lodging” program to Skagit Tours' Diablo Lake Boat Tours and Gorge Powerhouse and Newhalem Tours, field classes from Harts Pass to the San Juan Islands, Family Getaways and more.

Behind the scenes, we at the Institute are filled with anticipation to welcome our 16th cohort of Graduate M.Ed. students this month, excited to have so many visitors stopping in our book stores in Newhalem, Marblemount, Sedro-Woolley, Stehekin and Diablo Lake and, last but not least, working hard to prepare for the upcoming 30th Anniversary Picnic ~ click here for details and to RSVP.

Did you see the Seattle Times' article penned by our executive director Saul Weisberg on his "Ten Favorite Things to do in the North Cascades" last month? We've reposted it on our Chattermarks blog and it is sure to inspire all kinds of outdoor adventures!

We hope to see you in the mountains this summer!
