Yarn Tasting
April 30th 9:30-11:30 and May 2nd 5-7
You won't want to miss this annual one-of-a-kind event! This is what having a local yarn store is all about- the opportunity to "taste test" different yarns. This spring we have the ultimate in needle food! Come and experience sugar cane, corn, bamboo, hemp, linen, cotton, silk and blends that delight both the eye and the hands. We are serving brunch on Thursday and a light dinner on Saturday. Bring your needles and your curiosity, you'll go home with samples of our new yarn, pattern ideas for each and a big smile! Every person that participates also gets 15% off any purchases made that day. Spaces are limited, so call in advance to guarantee your reservation.

Stash-to-Project: Tuesday May 5th or May 19th from 3-5 Free!
Bring a sample of your stash and available yardage and we will help match your stash to a pattern and/or complimenting yarn(s). 1 session
Learn to Knit: Wednesday afternoons (May 6, 13, 20, 27) 2-4 pm Free!
To celebrate our upcoming anniversary, we would like to share the gift of knitting. If you or anyone you know has a desire to be introduced to knitting, come see us on Wednesday afternoons! We will have yarn cast on and the needles out and ready for you. This class is a very basic introduction and we will simply be covering the knit stitch.
Continental Knitting 101: Thursday May 7th or 23rd from 11-12 $10
This class is for those who already know how to knit and want to learn a new technique. Continental knitting is said to be faster and easier on your hands. Come and experience this way of knitting for yourself! 1 session
Embellishment Possibilities: Saturday May 9th from 10:30-11:30 $10
Take a plain project to a unique and one of a kind creation! Embellishment can do that and more! Come learn some of the different types of embellishment and lets get those creative juices flowing! 1 session
Toe-Up Socks: May 14th, 21st, and 28th from 2-3:30 $15
Learn how to make socks that fit! Toe up socks are a fun and exciting way to accomplish a perfectly fitting sock for you or a special recipient. Requires knowledge of knitting on 2 circulars. 3 session class
Felted Flip Flops: May 15th and 22nd from 10:30-12 $10 (pattern included)
Pedicure anyone? These fun and fancy flip flops are great for a day at the spa or simply to wear around the house with your summer painted toes. 2 session class.
Spindle Spinning: May 16th 10:30-11:30 $10
Learn how to use a drop spindle! Do you want to spin but can't afford a spinning wheel? Don't let that stop you from learning to spin! A drop spindle makes your spinning portable and affordable. Requires a drop spindle. 1 session class
