 Good Thursday to you.
This Sunday the West Oakland Mission Trip will begin and so we will commission the team during service. Please continue to pray for the team all week as many of our people will be helping out with a week long VBS program, a three day eye clinic, praying for the neighborhood and putting together the community barbeque.
We also have our opportunity to come to God's table and partake of his Blessing and be prayed for. The Communion Prayer Team will be available to pray for you in the Sanctuary during communion time.
Directly, after service there will be a Members Meeting to affirm New Board members and a financial update. *If you are a parent and are staying for this meeting, don't worry about your kids (age toddlers to 5th grade). Please pick them up after the meeting in either Room 2 or 3. They will be well taken care of by our Children's Ministry volunteers.

PRAYER MEETINGS: l HEALING: Every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, 9:30am, in Room 4. Everyone and anyone is invited to come. This is a time to bring our thanks and petitions to God as a family. God loves to see us comforting one another and praying together as a church family. Please contact Dave.

PRE-SCHOOL AND TODDLERS NEED LOVING ADULT LEADERS THIS SUMMER From July 5- September 6 we will be enjoying the lazy days of summer. Our youngest children will continue to gather separately during the summer while our elementary children will join the youth and adults for worship. We will all focus on the theme Full Body Worship (more details to come!).
We are lucky to have Sandy Samuels and Rob Shook as our lead teachers in the toddler room this summer and to have Sarah Matsuoka, Jillian Matsuoka and Kathryn Garlick with the pre-school class.
We are still in need of additional volunteers however. Please contact Li-Mei Johnson to serve as a caregiver in the toddler room from 10:15-12:00. Serving once or twice this summer would allow some of our more regular volunteers the chance to take a well deserved break while maintaining a consistant environment and program for our young ones.
The pre-school class is in need of an assistant leader each week who would be with the class from 10:30-12:00 as well as a clean up person who would committ to helping with clean up beginning at 11:45. Please contact Michelle Kaneshiro to volunteer for one of these opportunities.
Thank you so much for working together to keep our kids happy and cared for this summer!
Pastor Cheryl

PHOTOGRAPHERS l There were a number of people taking photos at the retreat a couple of weekends ago. If you haven't already, would you be kind enough to share them with the congregation? You can do this in two ways: load them onto CLC's group Facebook page and/or burn a CD and give it to Wa Huong or Marilyn Tepora. *If you load pictures on to Facebook, please do not include names of any of the children.
l We would like to compile a CLC photo directory for the next year. If you are interested in helping collect family pictures, please contact Lynn. |
