Lake steward program update

Lake steward on duty sign 2

Lake stewards are currently stationed at 5 launches around Lake George: Dunham's Bay, Norowal Marina, Hague Town Launch, Rogers Rock, and Mossy Point. A lake steward was present at Million Dollar Beach from May 4 through May 19th.

Lake stewards have removed 20 samples from 16 boats. Seven of the samples were identified as an invasive species. There were 5 boats carrying the 7 invasive species samples. Of the invasive samples, 5 were identified as Eurasian watermilfoil, 1 was identified as curly-leaf pondweed, and 1 was identified as zebra mussels.

A full lake steward update of data through June 15th can be found on our website here.
