The 2,600-home Villebois community was built upon a foundation of connectivity, diversity and sustainability. All of the homes constructed in Villebois meet Earth Advantage® requirements for energy efficiency, environmental responsibility and resource efficiency.
More than 90 percent of the materials on-site at Villebois have been recycled. Costa Pacific Communities was careful to preserve existing trees and incorporate native plants into the landscaping. With funding from an EPA grant for rainwater management, the Villebois community also boasts permeable paving stones, permeable asphalt, retention ponds, rooftop gardens and state-of-the-art bio-retention cells in planter beds, further validating the community’s emphasis on eco-consciousness.
Innovative features that will benefit homeowners:
Villebois encapsulates the character of a European village, offering residents a place to live, work, play and learn. The bustling Village Center will be a mix of condominiums, row homes, plazas, apartments, green space and boutique shops and services that complement the existing neighborhoods surrounding the heart of the community.
As a transit-oriented community, Villebois gives residents the opportunity to commute from home via TriMet’s new West Side Express Service. Dubbed “WES,” the new commuter rail links residents in Wilsonville to Tigard, Tualatin and Beaverton. Once in Beaverton, commuters can hop aboard the MAX light rail and be in downtown Portland in minutes.

BUZZ WORD OF THE MONTH
Ecoroof
An ecoroof, or "green" roof is a vegetated roof system used in place of a conventional roof. Ecoroofs are comprised of several layers including a root barrier, waterproof membrane, drainage, soil system, and plants. Ecoroofs can double or triple the life span of the roof, add insulation to a building, and create additional useable space. The City of Portland has approved Ecoroof systems as a stormwater management technique, and provides incentives to qualify owners.
