The History of Nancy Columbia
& The Premiere of the Nova Tuskhut

Dr. Russell A. Potter is back and has brought along a friend and fellow Arctic expert from Nunavut, Kenn Harper, to enlighten us all to the past of Inuits in early film and in "Esquimaux Villages" all over the world- including Santa Monica.

Nancy Columbia, the Queen of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Esquimaux Village in 1909, was the first Inuit to write and star in a film in 1911, The Way of the Eskimo. Be dazzled by the smile and the story of Nancy and her family as told by Harper and Dr. Potter in an illustrated lecture in honor of the unveiling of The Nova Tuskhut- the Panorama's latest adventure.
