Cleaning Corner
Save time cleaning your bathtub by rubbing a thin layer of baby oil along the grime line on the sides of your tub. The oil prevents dirt from clinging to the surface. (Careful not to spill any on the bottom so that you don't slip.) Source: InStyle Magazine April Issue
Four Simple Summer Party Ideas
Color Splashes-Pick some flowers from your own garden or stop by a local farmer's market for a few vibrant bouquets. Forage yard sales and flea markets for brightly hued dinner plates and serving pieces. (Hint: no matching required.)
No-Fuss Food- Make kabobs of your favorite meat, green peppers, yellow zucchini and mushrooms to throw on the grill at will. Burgers and hotdogs are backyard party favorites, so supply your party guests with an array of topping options, and let them customize their meal to enjoy at your home.
Welcome Little Ones- Set up a few kid-friendly games in various parts of the backyard so the children will explore all aspects of the area. Picnic blankets can be placed in the center of the yard so the kids have a place to take a break from running around. Have bite-sized versions of no-fuss food mentioned above so they can enjoy kabobs, too!
No Bugs Allowed- Hanging clean plastic bags of water from eaves and umbrellas helps to keep the flies away. Some cities now offer mosquito-banishing services; consider hiring  them for a one-time application the day of your party.
Summertime is great for entertaining guests. If you've got an outdoor space to gather with friends, you're halfway there. Here are a few tips to take you all the way to an easy-breezy summer soiree.
Most importantly, remember to mingle and enjoy yourself. If the guests see that you're having a great time, they will be sure to have one as well!
