On your body: The purity of skin-care products matters:Your body will absorb any toxins they contain. Look for a USDA Organic label, and opt for sunscreens that include a natural UVA/UVB blocker such as zinc oxide.
In the air: A study from the Natural Resources Defense Council found hormone-disrupting chemicals (phthalates) in many common air fresheners. Stuffy? Pop open a window and turn on a fan.
