Kitchen Heat

Not long ago, stainless steel appliances and granite counter-tops were the hottest kitchen features that now are expected and practically come standard. What are the next major trends to keep an eye on? According to a recent National Kitchen and Bath Association survey of more than 200 kitchen designers, cherry and maple cabinets, quartzite counter-tops and custom-paneled appliances are hot. One thing that hasn't changed is the trend toward bigger, more open kitchens. As kitchens get bigger and even more functional, it seems certain that a trend toward specialization will grow as well.

Going Green Tip of the Month

Decrease your drag.  If you aren't using that overhead luggage rack, take it off. It may also help to turn off the AC and open up your windows to conserve gas, but not on the highway. Open windows at 60mph increases drag and is less conservative than using the AC.
