Our Mission

The goal of Dawn Farm is to assist addicts and alcoholics in achieving long term recovery.

Dawn Farm will identify and remove barriers that prevent addicts and alcoholics from joining the recovering community.

Since 1973, helping people join the recovering community—never turning people away for lack of funds.

The leaves have started to change and autumn is upon us. It's been another busy summer at the Farm. We had two litters of piglets, the biggest garden we've ever grown and our most successful Jamboree ever.

Most important, with your help, we're helping more people than ever. So far this year, nearly 1,700 people have sought recovery at Dawn Farm.

You make this possible. Thank you for your support! 

 

  BARN SALE, BARN SALE, BARN SALE!

The autumn Dawn Farm Barn Sale is SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18 from 9:00-4:00pm at the Farm. 

We have furniture, knick-knacks, holiday decorations, televisions, entertainment centers, kid's stuff, lamps, kitchen accessories, and much, much more!!  The Dawn Farm Gift Shop will also be open, and you can pick up a dozen fresh eggs before you leave.

Stop by to check it out, and bring your family, friends, and everyone you know!  We are using the Community Barn this year, so don't let rain keep you away! 

 

Delicious Honey!

Dancing Crane Honey Farm, a local honey farm in Ann Arbor, now has their 2008 honey harvest available for sale. Dancing Crane has graciously offered Dawn Farm the proceeds from this year's honey sales. Suggested cost is $7.50 per pound or $20 for three pounds of delicious, local honey.

Dancing Crane is having an Open House on Sunday, October 26, from 1-6 pm, and you are invited!  For more information (or to place an order) please contact John or Joanne.

 Last Call for Turkeys
If you want to have a delicious farm fresh turkey from Dawn Farm for Thanksgiving, the clock is ticking! Turkeys are $36.00 again this year. If you want one, call Ashley Jackson at the Farm 734/485-8725 today!

We will also have fresh turkeys available for the winter holiday season.  If you are interested, let us know!

 Dawn Farm Education Series - Learn More About Addiction and Recovery!

Addiction 101

This presentation will examine the dynamics of drinking and drug use, including addiction as a brain disease and the basic recovery process.

Alcoholics Anonymous: A Panel Discussion
Tuesday October 28, 2008, 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
presented by a panel of recovering men and women

This presentation will provide a lively, moderated panel discussion regarding addiction and alcoholism, personal recovery, and individual participation in Twelve Step programs.

What is the Ed Series?
The Dawn Farm Education Series is a FREE annual workshop series developed to provide accurate, helpful, hopeful, practical, current information about addiction and recovery. 
The Ed Series workshops are presented in the St. Joseph Hospital Education Center Auditorium.  Visit dawnfarm.org for detailed information and a printable flyer.
