$3000 in one night! Friday evenings square dance and silent auction were a success with a total of $3000 raised. Many of you participated and helped out in one way or another and we couldn't have done it without your help. Thank you! Parent Fundraising efforts have yielded a combined total of $4349 this school year and Annual Giving has reached $3585 with 55% parent participation. It's not too late to make a contribution. Oak Lane's fiscal year ends August 31, 2010.
Summer Fun...Here we come! The teachers have cooked up some exciting themes for the months of July and August. As every year, we will also do waterplay weather permitting. Please bring in a bathing suit, towel and water shoes (any kind of footwear that can get wet) for your child. We will let you know when we did waterplay so you can take it home and wash everything and bring back a fresh supply. Please remember to apply sunscreen to your child before coming to school.
Summer Enrollment and Beyond We still have some spaces available in our Older Toddlers classroom (2 year olds) and our Preschool classroom (3 year olds) for the coming school year. So, spread the word and you receive a $50 credit for every child that enrolls in our program (New parents must mention that they were referred by you.). Drop-in care is available all summer for all age groups. Please call ahead to let us know if you would like to drop off your child. I would also like to point out that most teachers will be on vacation at some point during the summer. So, you may see different teachers at drop-off or pick-up as we are shifting schedules around to accommodate vacations. If you have any question about the above, don't hesitate to contact me. |

Infants and Young Toddlers
As the school year comes to a close, we all continue to grow by leaps and bounds. McKenna and Maxwell are both sitting independently. Yay! Brooke started walking on her own and Pearl is oh so close to walking as well. William is busy crawling and pulling up on everything and Jocelyn started to pull up on her crib. Before we now it everybody will be on the move and it will be very busy in our room. Melissa, Adrien and Senna continue to forge friendships with their classmates and are learning sign language with T. Savannah. We have learned the signs for "more" and "please" and are now working on "help" and "hurt". Check out the infant bulletin board to see how to do these signs at home. During the summer months, Adrien, Melissa and Eric will begin to transition into the toddler class. T. Sheila and T. Savannah |

Older Toddlers
This week the children have enjoyed watching the wonderful Westtown Facilities Crew cleaning up the storm damaged and fallen trees. Tractors and woodchippers make for great entertainment.
We have some fun themes planned for the summer. This week and last we
