We're also going to be out and about performing music. Mess musicians, Music Alive participants and volunteers will be playing at TWIGS open day on the 21st of June from 11am until 4pm including the new Music Alive Performance Group made up of staff and volunteers, Swindon Scratch Choir and a solo performance by singer/songwriter Nick Weaver. TWIGS open day includes a recycled sculpture exhibition, plant sale, children's activities, timber products sale and drumming in the roundhouse as well as yummy cakes and drinks to accompany our performances. A group from Music Alive will be playing for the St. Mary's School Fayre, July 3rd, 7pm at the school fields, where a class has been learning traditional English dances, visiting Chippenham Folk Festival workshops to learn a Border Dance, a Cotswold Morris Dance, a Garland Dance and a social dance.
We're also going to be busy preparing for a summer of music making with disabled young people. You're welcome to help us or simply let us know when and how you want to be involved in the individual or group music sessions that will take place in our music rooms.
