Recent Sightings at the San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve
The winter months bring many birds of prey from the north to the Lagoon. Participants on a recent Private Bird Walk for members of the Conservancy's President's Council and Legacy Circle saw an Osprey, a Peregrine Falcon, a Northern Harrier, an American Kestrel and a possible Sharp-shinned Hawk all in the course of less than two hours. Lagoon visitors on the Conservancy's free December nature walk observed an Osprey catch a big mullet.

You can now submit your own sightings to sightings@SanElijo.org.
