June Restoration Event to Focus on Fence Mending, Saturday June 19, 9 am - 11 am
Good fences build good neighbors... that's according to the shorebirds at the Rios Trail peninsula view point anyway! Recent vandalism damage to the fence has put the wetland habitat at risk of human visitors wandering off-trail. We'll mend the fence and restore our good relations with our waterfowl friends.
Please visit the registration form on our web site to sign up. As always, snacks are provided by our good friends at . Bring a reusable bottle for water (provided).
Our volunteer Watershed Steward Team Leader this month will be: Paul Worthington.
See you there!

Lagoon Day 2010 a Success!
600 happy faces celebrated Lagoon Day 2010 on May 15, embracing the theme 'Youth and You in the Lagoon'. Facepainting, live animal ambassadors, crafts, live music, delicious food, plein air artisans, agency representatives and roving docents all contributed to a fun-filled and informative day for young and old. Students from The Grauer School and The Met School presented what they have learned over the past semester in working with the Conservancy on habitat stewardship. The new 'Lagoon Team' education and outreach trailer debuted, and dogs were welcomed at the Canine Welcome Table -- truly something for everyone! See more photos of Lagoon Day.
