Do you know how to handle workplace investigations fairly?
Employment lawyer Lin Hinson will present a free event on the new Acas code. The event is run as part of NCVO Workforce Development’s Employment Practice Network.
By the end of the session delegates will be able to:
- Understand key legislation - including the new Acas code - when handling discipline & grievance issues
- Better avoid making dismissals unfair by looking at theory, techniques and tactics understand what policies and procedures to review and update

HR Masterclass for Voluntary & Community Organisations NCVO Workforce Development is running a HR Masterclass over 2 days on December 14 and 15 at NCVO in London.
The training consists of practical learning to help you implement practices that keep you on the right side of employment legislation and learn to manage good – and poor - performance.
The training will cover:
- Day one: redundancy and restructuring and
- Day two: managing staff performance
Availability is strictly limited to 20 places, and the trainer is Wendy Blake Ranken (Fellow, CIPD), author of The Good Guide to Employment: Managing & Developing People in Voluntary and Community Organisations.

Review of Trustee Standards Since 2006, the National Occupational Standards for Trustees have been very well received – in fact, over 5,000 pocket guides have been sold and countless more copies downloaded electronically.
As part of the Standards monitoring process, Skills – Third Sector must now check that the Standards are still ‘fit for purpose’ and reflect good practice in Trusteeship across the UK.
