03.31.2010gray-resized 5Hi Friend,

People expect to have a way to learn about your business before calling or coming to your store or office. They need questions answered to be sure it will be worth the time or trip. One way to help them is your searchable, informative Web site. The other way is a brochure.

Common purposes for brochures include:

1. Answer FAQs about your business.
2. Illustrate product and service benefits.
3. Suggest recipes for your food products, or provide assembly instructions for items you sell.
4. Solicit charitable donations, or recruit members and volunteers.
5. Promote your company to graduates.

There are a few ways for them to obtain your brochure, such as at trade shows or networking events. They might get one from a friend or a display in another business. You can mail it to them, and have it on your Web site for them to print or view.
Here are a few brochure tips:

Make your brochure clear and compelling. Eliminate jargon, and don’t clutter it. White space and balance enhance readability and attractiveness. Seize their attention, but don’t tell all. The brochure needs to persuade readers to ask you for more.

Angle it for your audience. Consider creating a brochure for each of your product lines, services, programs or customer types. Essential elements of brochures include your logo, photos and other graphics that help define you, or identify your brand.

Choose your words wisely. If you can get them, a few customer testimonials increase its strength. If space allows, include a map or your hours of operation. I also advise having your contact information on both sides, in case a person copies only one side of the brochure for a friend or colleague.

I am glad to help with brochures. Please e-mail me, call (720) 201-8743 or find me on Facebook.
