How do you show gratitude? You always tell customers you appreciate their business, whether they purchase a product or a service. You try to remember to tell vendors how much you appreciate them as well. You have office parties and maybe give bonuses to show staff how grateful you are for their extra effort. I have been on both the sending and receiving ends of thank you letters and cards. I especially cherish the rare, unexpected ones for showing some small gesture of kindness. They are so heartwarming that I want to return a thank you. The ones we receive that acknowledge a cash or in-kind donation to charity are usually carefully composed by someone who realizes how important it is, when depending upon continued support, to express gratitude to those who donate to their organization. They rely on the kindness of volunteers and the generosity of donors. My work experience includes preparing a variety of letters of thanks to people for time or money spent on important causes. If you need to say thanks for items donated to a silent auction or tell a family member how grateful you are for the gift received from their loved one's estate, I would like to be the one you call. Please keep me in mind when the time comes for a well-written thank you letter. For your group Contact Gail to speak to your group about newsletters or grant writing at no charge.
