Greetings SV2 Friends,

Fall is in full swing at SV2. Thanks to everyone who came together for SV2's Fall Gathering, an inspiring evening celebrating our newest Grantees and Impact Investees, catching up with old friends, and making new ones. We continue to be humbled by the powerful collective impact of the SV2 community's work together, which you can delve into in SV2's just-published Impact Report. On the learning front, it's the perfect time to jump into the recently kicked-off Education Learning Year or Impact Investing Working Group. If a shorter grant round is more your style, read on to learn more about our soon-to-launch Lightning Grant Round focused on affordable housing. We'd love to see you soon!

Welcome, New Partners!

Dickerson headshot

Joyce Dickerson has spent the last eight years working on the intersection of Technology & Environmental Sustainability at Stanford and Google, and she is interested in getting more involved with these issues within her community. Along with joining SV2, Joyce has recently joined the Environmental Quality Commission for Menlo Park. Her other passion is helping girls, especially middle school girls, get excited about math, science, and technology. She lives in Menlo Park with her 7th grade daughter, Julia.

Petkov headshot

Melissa Petkov made the unlikely move to the West Coast from NC via NYC in 2007 to attend business school at Stanford. It was there she met her husband, Youli, and the Cali sunshine, and the rest is history. Melissa and Youli are now parents to two little girls under 3, Eden and Lillian. Melissa is a social entrepreneur and spends her free time making memories with her daughters, working with the nonprofits she supports, and pursuing her interests in art, music, and travel.
