WE ARE RESILIENT- ADVOCACY IN ACTION WAR Advocate Reviews Department of Defense Breast Cancer Studies "Now, I am really part of the process as to where we are heading in finding a cure for breast cancer. Empowering, taking control of one's life just skims the surface as to how I feel." - Mindy Goldstein
Mindy was one of 159 consumer advocates who have participated in the FY09 peer review meetings by commenting on and scoring research proposals based on the impact of the research on issues such as disease prevention, screening and quality of life after treatment. As an advocate, she not only represented Women At Risk, but also the collective view of breast cancer survivors, patients, family members and women at risk for the disease. We congratulate Mindy on her outstanding contribution to advancing quality breast cancer research!
