UPDATE: EGG CARTON CODING AND TRACKING SOFTWARE

Printed Egg Cartons white background

Interest in the HSAUSA egg carton coding and tracking software system continues to grow. In the past month we have completed successful trials of the system a number of major egg processing companies such as Kreider Farms and Moark LLC.

We have also done presentations in conjunction with our distribution team in a” Go to Meeting “ format, with egg processors in their respective territories , following up with an onsite demo of the system. As a result of feedback from these presentations, we will be expanding the software package to include Warehouse Management for both incoming and finished good tracking to provide a total package the egg companies are requiring.   Look for this launch in the next few weeks.

CASE STUDY:  NESTLE COMPANY

Service Cart

Nestle Ice Cream was looking to replace Matthews coders installed on a custom flow wrapper to date code film used to wrap their Drumstick cones. System requirements were

  1. Flow wrapper consisted of 16 individual lanes, each of which could be stopped during production if a “no cone” present condition existed. This meant individual photo cell triggers were required for each lane.
  2. Ability to easily  remove the heads at the end of production cycle from the wrapper for a required 3 hour wash down of the equipment
  3. Inks to meet Nestle corporate requirement of no methanol and would work on the film.
  4. Ability to control all 16 print heads from a single controller /PC, and change messages on a given lane when needed

HSAUSA was able to provide the following solution

  1. 16 HP heads on a custom designed mounting bridge that could easily be installed and removed as required. The mounting was designed to locate the print head in the proper position with minimal if any adjustment required.
  2. 16 compact Mini Touch controllers were mounted on 2 (eight on each cart) stainless steel carts to provide the photocell triggers required for each lane. It also provided the ability to easily remove the system from the production area for wash down.
  3. HP low maintenance alcohol based ink containing no methanol and that dried on the film.
  4. A software package to control all 16 print heads from a PC in the production supervisor’s office.
