We at the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern Pennsylvania wanted to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season and a happy and healthy new year!

While you are gearing up for the festive season with your friends and family, take a moment to think about the many people affected with epilepsy/seizure disorder in the Eastern Pennsylvania area who need your help. This is an excellent time to include them in your gift giving this year by making a donation to the Foundation and taking part in the true meaning of the holidays. With recent State budget cutbacks, now more than ever the need is great and it has never been easier for you to include the EFEPA in your holiday season and help people struggling with unemployment, discrimination, and independence.

Donate your RecycleBank Points for cash to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA. To register go to the Get Rewards tab, search in your area and scroll down to E, click on Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA, and follow the instructions to complete your donation – currently for every 1025 RecycleBank Points you can donate $10.

United Way- Many businesses partner with United Way as a way to help the community and local non-profits. Ask your employer if they are part of United Way and start donating directly to the Epilepsy Foundation Eastern PA, Donor Choice #00541.

Lastly, you can donate directly to the EFEPA using our online form,www.efepa.org/donations or by mailing a check to EFEPA at 919 Walnut St., Suite 700 Philadelphia, PA 19147. All donations are tax deductible.

If you can't donate funds to the Foundation, but still would like to help us out there is still a way. The EFEPA is always looking for in-kind donations and some of the items may be sitting around your house. Take a look at our in-kind wish list to see if you have anything. Also if you are thinking of getting a new car, you can donate your old car to the Foundation and you can earn a charitable income tax donation. To make sure the EFEPA receives the donation, your car's title must be located in the Eastern PA service area. Follow the link to find out details on how you can donate your car.

Remember that it's not too late for your gift to be included in the 2009 tax year! Any mail received with a postmark of 12/31/2009 will be receipted with that date. You can call us during business hours to make a credit card gift over the phone, or go online until midnight on December 31st and you will receive a dated e-mail confirmation that you can print immediately.
