2) Petition signing in California
We've also teamed up with American Lung Association, American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society in California to get petitions signed to increase the tobacco tax to $1 per pack - the first time in 20 years it has been raised. We need 600,000 signatures to get it on the ballot. If you live in California and would like to help, contact us @ CApetition@beverlyfund.org (60% is going towards heart disease and cancer research)
3) Lung Cancer Patients needed for UCSF survey
UCSF is conducting an online survey to lung cancer
patients on how
stigma affects how lung cancer patients seek treatment, interact with
people around them, and feel about their diagnosis. The Beverly Fund believes that this is an important surve. It takes 30-45 minutes to take the survey and UCSF is giving away $10 Target gift cards. Their goal is to get 200 lung cancer patients to complete this survey. Please help us help them and help the cause.
