Image Learn about fD Distress Services

Each year, hundreds of activists are violently assaulted for pursuing their ideas of social change: as community leaders they lose their jobs, face arbitrary imprisonment, and are sometimes killed for speaking truth to power. Through its international network of art spaces, human rights organizations, and concerned individuals, fD seeks to find solutions for activists and culture workers--artists, journalists, writers, musicians--in situations of distress. In the past year we've made some improvements to our newsletter, and in November, we announced a survey to find out what you thought - and how we can make it even better. Thanks to everyone who responded! Our drawing winner, a friend of fD in Cameroon, will receive a limited edition silkscreened t-shirt by Ad Hoc Art. We'll be introducing new features and improvements in the coming months, and we always welcome your feedback.
