January is Birth Defect Prevention Month! 
The National Birth Defects Prevention Network (NBDPN) has developed resource materials for use during Birth Defects Prevention Month. This year's theme focuses on obesity prevention and weight management - before, during, and after pregnancy. Templates and resources are available on the NBDPN website.

NBDPN Annual Meeting Silent Auction Returns!
Contributions to the Silent Auction are tax deductible. Items that are easily transported may be brought to the meeting, other items may be represented with a photograph or description and shipped directly to the winner after the meeting. Have you heard of ‘great happenings’ around the Network through NBDPN committee work? Sometimes great accomplishments are born out of ordinary persistence. Sometimes an activity has a ‘Wow!’ impact.
Nominations are being accepted for the Godfrey P. Oakley, Jr Award, the State Service/State Leadership Award, and the Birth Defects Education & Prevention Award.
