January 2009  National Birth Defects Prevention Network

It's a New Year full of exciting new adventures and opportunities! In an effort to keep our membership better informed we are switching modes to a quarterly e-newsletter. Committee members will be able to submit news as they desire instead of having to wait for the production of a semi-annual edition. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please submit comments to   Russel Rickard.

  NBDPN Award Nominations

Have you heard of ‘great happenings’ around the Network through NBDPN committee work? Sometimes great accomplishments are born out of ordinary persistence. Sometimes an activity has a ‘Wow!’ impact.

Nominations are being accepted for the Godfrey P. Oakley, Jr Award, the State Service/State Leadership Award, and the Birth Defects Education & Prevention Award. Consider nominating individuals or programs that are making a difference, including your own. Nominations are due to Cara Mai (cmai@cdc.gov) by Friday, January 23, 2009.
