National Day of Volunteering - Update!

Header

The National Day of Volunteering takes place this year on 30th September 2011. South Dublin County Volunteer Centre are once again facilitating projects in the South Dublin County area.

We're encouraging community groups/not for profits in South Dublin County to contact us with possible projects that could involve volunteers (both employee volunteers or individuals) for a single day.

You can be involved in 2 ways!

You might decide to go ahead and organise your own celebration/event on the day. If you do, let us know what your group is doing on the day and we'll add it to a national and local calendar of events.

You might want a team of volunteers to help your project in some way. If you are looking to source a group of corporate/business volunteers to help you carry out your project, let us know also and we'll try and arrange a suitable match between you and a local business. Normally the corporate company will have a budget line attached so this could be your opportunity to get that long needed paint job/gardening project/cleanup etc... done. You can apply on line by clicking on this link

Be creative - and you could really benefit from a group of volunteers who are willing and able to make a difference in a day!

Below are details of some of the projects that happened in 2009 which could give you an idea of what your group could ask for/benefit from!
