Hello Friends,
It's true that it's almost the end of the first month of the year – but happy 2010 to you all the same! I've had a slow start to the year – lots of cooking, reading and knitting as well as a two week long cough which was not nearly as fun as the first three things. I am back to work now, with just a few updates for you: a new and simplified website, the first month of Mailbox Monthly and some Valentine's Day cards just in time ...

A NEW WEBSITE // simple and clean for a new year ... Please visit the pretty new website. I was getting tired of the multiple urls I'd amassed over the past few years so I decided to streamline into a single site again. The new site is more like a portfolio and I hope you like it.

MAILBOX MONTHLY // The first month is going in the mail this week – apologies for the slight delay for those of you who are already signed up ... I don't want to give away what's inside, but these are the pretty packages all stacked up. I had such fun putting these packages together and I hope you love what you receive. For those interested: MM is available in 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions. During the third week of each month, you'll receive
a package of letterpress goodies: stationery, prints, offcuts, etc.
It'll be a surprise each time – and one I hope will delight you. 6
month subscriptions are available in my online shops; for 3 or 12 month
subscriptions, please email me directly.

VALENTINE'S DAY 2010 // Just in the nick of time – 4 Valentine's Day cards that I think would actually be just right any time of the year. All available in the online shop right now.

PERPETUAL CALENDARS // I'm so pleased to tell you that the 2010 calendars sold out completely – thank you, thank you – but I do still have my perpetual calendars. There are two versions of this functional calendar – one with a selection of my own designs and illustrations and one with small swatches of hand-made Japanese washi. Both are letterpress printed on lush 100% cotton paper and measure 4.25 x 11 inches. They're wrapped in glassine and sealed with patterned Japanese craft tape. The text is printed in slate grey ink with a blank line for you to write in birthdays and anniversaries – or you could use them as a quick journal to capture a fragment of your day. These make lovey gifts for yourself or a friend, to be enjoyed and used for many years to come.

A FINAL NOTE // Please remember that I am available to work on custom projects – calling cards, wedding invitations, identity design ... Please feel free to contact me at lynn@satsumapress.com if you have something in mind. Also, I'm flattered – Satsuma Press was nominated for the Handmade Papergoods section of The Poppies Awards! Please take a moment to go over and vote. Thank you!
All the best,
Lynn
