Coastal Cleanups Save Marine Animals

Join the National Marine Life Center (NMLC) this Saturday, September 19 for INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP DAY. We will be cleaning along the north bank of the Cape Cod Canal between the Bourne Bridge and the Railroad Bridge.

  • Meet at 9 am at NMLC, 120 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, MA.
  • Wear sturdy shoes - the rocky shoreline can be slippery!
  • Bring gardening or work gloves, sunscreen, and a pocket knife or scissors to cut away entangled line entangled among the rocks.  (We will provide some of this equipment as well.)
  • Bottled water will be provided.

Barbecue immediately following - FREE, donations accepted to defray the cost of food OR bring a potluck sidedish to share.

For more information, contact Joanne Nicholson at 508-743-9888 x302 or jnicholson@nmlc.org.

If you don't live nearby, you can still help!
