Rider Tip #1 CARPOOL! Reduce traffic congestion and carpool with your teamates. It might be a squeeze, but if everyone does it, you will get into the campsite quicker and with less stress. It's good for the environment too.Rider Tip #2
BRING A COMFY CHAIR. There's some good'uns out there, so get down to the outdoor store and try the range out. Get this bit right, and you'll be able to talk up your performances all night! Rider Tip #3 SETUP & STAY FRIDAY. Smart folks will arrive Friday. Race Registration will be quicker, then you can kick back Friday night and enjoy a relaxed breakfast trackside.Rider Tip #4 NO DOGS Dogs are not allowed at the Mont (neither are pet cats, bunnies or caribou). Welcome to Newsletter #2. Take a few minutes to read it through and then send it on to your teammates. We look forward to seeing you at the Mont soon. Keep the rubber side down! Awesome Sock Guy has been riding bikes since milk bottles came with silver foil caps and had discovered the joys of dirt before thumb shifters and nobby tyres became light bulb moments for bike manufacturers. He's covered more miles than most, he's raced hard and been put away wet, pulled apart countless bikes and put them back together (mostly) and he's also pondered the deepest meanings of why we ride bikes. Awesome Sock Guy knows that true happiness lies in wearing an awesome pair of socks. He he also knows you have questions that need answers. This week, Awesome Sock Guy will help you answer five important questions. Go HERE.
Souvenir T-Shirts & Posters This year's poster is a cracker too. A shame we never got to hang any before the Mont sold out. Seeing as there was no opportunity to pinch one from your bike shop window, we'll be printing a limited run for all you art lovers. Note: You have 3 WEEKS to place your orders. Orders are to be collected from the REGO TENT. You can leave the esky at home as we have lined up a great range of good food vendors for the Mont. Here's a rundown on the food and drink choices to keep your belly full and your brain happy;
We'd like your help to deliver the Mont. Become part of the Mont 24 Hour Race Crew and discover a great way to experience the event and support your mates or loved ones while they wear their 'race face'. If you have the time and energy we have the right job for you. There's a wide range of things to help out with like rego, timing, marshalling etc. and we'll look after you too. You'll even scoop a limited edition shirt, hat and a nice feed to boot. Send your name and contact details HERE. Ride the Bird in 2010! |
