Autumn Greetings from Vermont Mother Nature has been displaying many colorful vistas for us natives and “leaf peepers” from afar this fall season. The display of colorful maple trees is something that one never tires of and actually looks forward to each year here in Vermont.
I would like to introduce you all to a neighbor just up the road from us. The Davis Hill Weather Stick men stopped by a while ago to meet Rich and me. They have been producing and selling these low tech weather sticks for over 40 years. They are made from balsam wood, so we are glad to be carrying them now on our site. The weather stick will tell you what the weather is doing. With good weather about they will point to the sky, and when things aren’t so pleasant they will point to the ground. You just mount it outside on a wall where you can see it from inside and enjoy it. The old timers had faith in them and that’s good enough for us! Check them out and add a few to your next balsam order. They’re real conversation starters. I’ve included in this newsletter a few Vermont foliage pictures taken recently in our neck of the woods for you to enjoy. Our local newspaper did an article about VT Balsam a few weeks ago. Enjoy reading more about our operation (scanned on two pages). Just scroll down to enjoy these.
Currently we are featured in two magazines, Crafts n Things and Create and Decorate for the holiday season. We are busy here in Vermont now, gearing up for the holiday season.
Thanks for reading
Until next time, remember to SLOW DOWN AND SMELL THE BALSAM!
Fragrant Regards, Balsam Sue and Rich
