Dear Parents (K-5),

Due to much positive feedback, TA is pleased to announce our plans to provide yellow bus service for the 2010/2011 school year. To answer the two most frequently asked questions:

Yes - we will have supervision on the bus, and,
We will make every effort to pick up children at their homes. Nevertheless, constraints of the bus route may require some children to walk to the end of the block. For example, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to pick up children who live on a court off of a main street. That will depend strictly on safe maneuverability of the bus.

Bus registration will be accepted on a first-come first~served basis. In addition, preference will be given to round-trip reservations. Please understand that the length of time that the children will be on the bus will depend on how many buses are being utilized.

1) The cost per child is $1,000 for round trip ($500 for one-way). There is no reduction for multiple children.

2) Payment shall be made in two checks, the first a deposit of $300 as well as a second check for $700 ($200 for one-way) post-dated for December 1^st .

3) All checks should be made out to Talmudical Academy of Baltimore and sent together with the completed form no later than June 30^th, 2010. The post dated check will be deposited as dated.

4) Because we are charging the minimum amount possible, should a parent decide not to use the service during the school year, there will not be any refund made.

It is imperative that parents impress upon their children the proper bus safety that is expected at all times. This particularly applies to remaining seated whenever the bus is in motion. Lack of compliance by a child could result in not permitting the child to continue riding the bus. Should this happen, there will not be any refund. Additionally, children may only get off at their own stop and children may not invite a friend who is not signed up for the bus service to go home with them on the bus.

Please Note: This contract must be signed by a parent. That signature indicates agreement to all the above conditions. This contract along with the two checks should be returned to the TA office in an envelope marked “yellow bus”.
