Pushing the Boundaries of Science
The Kenneth Rainin Foundation kicked off its 2014 Innovations Symposium in San Francisco in mid-July. Many talented scientists work in isolation from other scientific fields. The Rainin Foundation is working toward reaching a broad audience of scientists by creating an environment that encourages investigators to start thinking about research areas outside of their respective fields. The two-day event featured keynote addresses by leading authorities and presentations by Rainin Foundation grantees engaged in innovative research.
