80 Health Care Professionals Attend UCLA SBIRT Training...

SBIRT-Group-save-for-web.jpg

The recent SBIRT , Screening, Brief Intervention and Referal to Treatment training had an impressive turnout. According to Jerry Cartier, the Director of UCLA's Substance Abuse Programs, Nevada County had the 2nd highest attendance at the regional trainings. The highest being Los Angeles.  This turnout speaks volumes about the community we live in... Way to go Nevada County!

The Coalition will develop a strategic plan on how to utilize the contacts from those who attended along with tracking progress of who is implementing the SBIRT model.

Special Thanks to our community partner, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.
