Winter Farmers' Market Background
A local committee of volunteers working in conjunction with Four Mounds Foundation has put together a Winter Farmers’ Market every Saturday from November 7th to April 24th. The market will be open every Saturday from 9:00 am – Noon at the Colts Center at 1101 Central Avenue (corner of 11th & Central Streets). Parking is available in the lot along Central Avenue and street parking is available on Iowa Street, Central Avenue, as well as other downtown streets.
The Colts will have fresh coffee and breakfast items. Plan to make a morning of it and enjoy the market atmosphere.
Support the Farmers’ Market and make a difference to our local economy and food quality. Check out the weekly surprises and enjoy the local venue and community. We have a new variety of vendors which changes on a weekly basis with new vendors added all season. Included is the list of current vendors.

Barb’s Garden Pantry - Over 40 varieties of jams, jellies, sugar-free fruit spreads, and homemade granola with flax seed.

Carol Steckel – Lots of fall produce into the early winter months, free range eggs, dried herbs

Coyote Creek Angus Beef – Grass-fed / grass finished angus beef. Selling over 30 retail cuts.

C & J’s the Good Stuff – Healthy “junk food” snacks, spelt flour baked goods, and organic butter.

Double L Vineyard – Local varieties all grown and bottled in Holy Cross

Gerald Dressler - Walnuts, hickory nuts, butternuts, watercress. Fall garden produce. Canned beets, corn relish, and jams plus lots of baked goods.

Early Risers Farm – Potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, carrots, spinach, some lettuce, cheese spreads, cheese, eggs, beef, pork & chicken, jam & jelly, garlic, dried herbs

Galena Dips – Homemade gourmet all-natural dip mixes, organic seasoning blends, homemade soup mixes, garlic powder and minced garlic made from locally grown organic garlic.

Paris sur Platte – Organic garlic varieties, potatoes, acorn squash, root vegetables, and onions.

Paul Opperman – Knife and scissor sharpening plus custom made shoes.

Porkhouse LLC / Black Angus Acres – Organically farmed pork, chicken, and beef.

Rock Ridge Market – Old fashioned cookies, winter storable produce, and jams.

Rollin Hills Honey - Honey, skin cream, lotion bars, lip balm, soaps, body wash, bath foamers, body butter, honey ointment, black salve, and candles.

Stillmunkes Produce – Kettle, caramel and cheese corn. Greenhouse grown produce includes tomatoes, cucumbers, & lettuce. Baked rolls and cookies.

Sue’s Essentials – Homemade soap varieties including hair care and gluten free breads.
