Ballet fans new and old are invited to join us for our 2nd Tuesday Series on March 9, 2010.
Held at the Alabama Ballet Center for Dance in the Main Studio, our 2nd
Tuesday program offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a ballet goes
from the studio to the stage. The preview performance lasts about 30-45
minutes. Arrive at 6:00 p.m. to enjoy a glass of wine and delicious
treats from Everything Iz.

The 7th annual “BalletFest Atlanta 2010” will run Friday, March 12 through Sunday, March 14
at the Joe Mack Wilson Student Center Theatre, Southern Polytechnic
State University, Marietta, GA. A third performance has been added to
showcase the 20 participating companies from Georgia and surrounding
states. Founder and Artistic Director, Marcus R. Alford is excited
about the growth and popularity of the 7-year-old event.

| "MAB " is an International competition focused on BALLET technique. The best
dancers will be selected upon initial examination of the video
documentation and will be admitted to the semi-final and final rounds.
The winners will perform at the prestigious Teatro Manzoni in Milan,
Italy and will be awarded monetary prizes and dance classes in the most
important Ballet Schools, as a support to their artistic specialization
and to their adequate professional continuation.
Interested contestants must postmark application materials by March 29, 2010.

Southern Arts Federation announces that they are changing their name from Southern Arts Federation to South Arts beginning in March 2010. The new name and logo reflects the changes and new directions detailed in their 2010-2016 Strategic Plan: Crafting the Future of the Arts in the South.
